Needle: Size 8 16inch circs and size H crochet hook
Yarn: Bernat Softee Chunky in Faded Denim 2 skeins
Seed stitch the button band for about six rounds. Crochet the straps with size H hook because I was sick of knitting by this point. :) I just need to find some pretty fabric for the lining.
Pattern can be found here.
She was made with some cheap (and I do mean cheap) acrylic yarn and I used beans for the lower half of her body and her hands and feet.
I honestly did not mean to make her face look so grumpy. I guess she's channeling me. :)
I made this dishcloth as well. You really can't see the stitch detail but called fake cables. It's a little something I made up based on stitches from a stitch dictionary.
I have some more amigurumi to post. These four little birdies
A very easy pattern from the Bittersweet Blog.
When I first saw amigurumi, I thought it was quite difficult. But I looked at some of the patterns, including the Japanese ones, and you know what? It's really simple. If you know the basic symbols, everything is a breeze.
This is the completed dishcloth for the Monthly Dishcloth KAL on Yahoo. It's the sun. Simple pattern but I was hoping for something with a little more....oomph. But it's okay. I'll find something. In fact, I have something. I might work on it this week. :)
I forgot to post my first amigurumi. This one is my pride and joy. I love how they turned out.

I'm planning to start on this amineko soon but I have to stop at Michael's to pick up some yarn. I ran out!
Since my computer isn't exactly working the way it's supposed to, I've been keeping busy doing other stuff. This is my second attempt making amigurumi. It's supposed to be a chihuahua but I was having issues attaching the ears. He still looks cute. :)

I also knitted some dishcloths.

This one is supposed to be a Vine Lace cloth but it's extremely hard to see the pattern. The color is way off. (I don't know how that happened.)

This one was made using some leftover cotton yarn. The pattern is called "Grandmother's Favorite" but it's a pattern knitted on the bias.
I have a sweater that I need to finish knitting but it's too darned hot to knit anything like that. I wait for it to rain to knit it. The house is cooler then. I want to wear it when I go back to Fairfield.
What else? I haven't been able to see any movies yet. (Again, it's too hot waiting on the bus stop). But I am planning to see Transformers and definitely Harry Potter. I've also been catching up on some reading - James Patterson is the main one right now. The book I'm reading now, Big Bad Wolf, is so hard to get into. Unlike his previous books featuring the character Alex Cross (brought to live in cinematic form by Morgan Freeman in Kiss The Girls and Along Came A Spider), this one is slow. I'm like "When's the good stuff gonna happen?" I'l keep reading it and hope for something good to start.
That's it for now. Until next time....
